On the occasion of the International Day of Domestic Workers, the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in partnership with the Association for the Development of Domestic Assistants (ASDAM) organised an exchange meeting on decent work on 19 June 2021 at the Djeuga Palace Hotel in Yaoundé

Placed under the theme “Decent Work, Decent Life for Domestic Workers in Cameroon”, the International Day of Domestic Workers, celebrated every June 16, offered the opportunity to domestic workers, employers and trade unionists to make a plea for the valorisation of domestic work in Cameroon. These jobs are generally carried out in very precarious conditions, under-valued, underpaid, invisible and not respected, as Claudine MBOUDOU, President of ASDAM, stated.
